Freida says, "I strongly believe that I am actually breaking down cultural barriers. I find it very interesting these days that films are bringing in so many people of different ethnicities and I'm proud to be a part of that cultural shift."
"I feel really happy that I have broken that stereotype that 'it is not possible'. Because I personally think that anything is possible. I feel the timing is right as well. The world is getting much smaller and that's the best way to embrace it."
Freida says she is glad to offer a new dimension to movies.
"Those other actresses have their own appeal and they bring whatever they bring to a film while I bring something that I do not particularly feel has been explored much in Hollywood."

Deepika shares steamy lip-lock with Imran
In a love story, kissing scene is said to be quite natural. Following the trend, Deepika Padukone also lip-locked her co-star Imran Khan in Danish Aslam’s debut film, ‘Break Ke Baad’. They share a steamy kiss in the movie.
For Deepika Padukone, kissing on-screen is not a big deal and she is comfortable with the idea but for Imran Khan kissing his co-star is as difficult as a fight scene.

'Guzaarish' does even lesser than 'Kites'
'Guzaarish' is standing on a loosing ground at the box office. The film couldn't even garner a 50% opening which means this mighty expensive dream of Sanjay Leela Bhansali was on a huge back foot right from its very first show. The very aspects of the film which were the usual suspects - a surreal world, situational music and the mercy killing theme - and were always expected to work only with select audience (mainly belonging to A centres) came into focus all over again.
Result? The film is being loved by those who were sold with this idea by Bhansali. However, the rest - the 'aam junta' - was not too enticed about stepping into the theaters itself.
This means that the collections were quite low and far lesser than the 30 crores opening weekend of 'Kites'. With a mere 15 crores coming in the first weekend, 'Guzaarish' is on a shaky ground as a lot is on stake here.
The current week is open though next week there would be competition (to a fair degree) from 'Break Ke Baad'. No wonder, it is currently a wait and watch situation though there is very minimal possibility of turnaround in the film's fortunes.
As for the other releases of the week, they were truly lifeless, as was apparent in near 0% collections evidenced on the very first day. 'Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu' would easily hold the distinction of being one of the most pointless and lacklustre films to have hit the screens this year.
On the other hand 'Deewangee Ne Had Kar Di' didn't fare any better. A C grade film which was relegated to the cans for over a year and had no known names, production values, set up or story to boast about, the film found a sparse release in only select pockets of the country. With near 0% footfalls welcoming the film, 'Deewangee Ne Had Kar Di' turned out to be yet another disaster at the box office this year.

When Aamir Khan signs a project, it is news and when he is cast along with two reigning Bollywood beauties, it is news hot enough to scorch the gossip columns. The project we are talking about is Reema Kagti’s next film which is being produced by Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions. Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor have reportedly been signed opposite perfectionist Khan. Rani Mukerji has earlier worked with Aamir Khan in the smash-hit Ghulam and was even part of the historical Mangal Pandey -The Rising. Meanwhile, Kareena was Aamir’s co-star in last year’s blockbuster 3 Idiots.
Aamir wrote, “Well, the lead actresses for my new film have been locked. Kareena and Rani. Am so happy to be working with Kareena again after 3i, and most excited about working again with Rani after so long. Difficult to concentrate on my work with such beautiful co-stars around ;-)”
Kagti, who has earlier gathered applauds for ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd,’ will now work on this suspense thriller drama. Talking about the script Aamir said, “Most unusual and very intriguing. I am quite excited about it and cant wait to start.” The film is scheduled to go to the floor in late February or early March of next year.

OVEMBER+It seems that marriage is showering bliss on leggy lass Shilpa Shetty. She had a surprise gift awaiting her on her first wedding anniversary when hubby Raj Kundra gifted her a luxury apartment on the ninetieth floor of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, Dubai. Burj Khalifa is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and IS the tallest man-made structure ever built, at 828 m with 160 floors. The world’s highest swimming pool is located on the 76th floor.
Shilpa had visited Dubai a few months ago, had loved the building and expressed a wish of staying there. Raj just grabbed the opportunity to express his love and gifted the keys to Shilpa in Mumbai a week ago.
Shilpa and Raj have taken three days off from work to celebrate their first wedding anniversary there. Shetty will design the interior of the apartment while she’s there. She then heads to Bangkok to shoot a shampoo ad on November 26.
However, the trip had its flips too. Shilpa was down with 103 degree temperature on Saturday night owing to pharyngitis. Though the fever waned by Sunday evening, she had a sore and choked throat when she finally left on Monday morning.

“I know what you must be thinking,” laughs Anees Bazmee, the writer and director of the film, “In fact in the promo itself she declares that woh sabse badi paagal hai. However, it is all done in a funny manner here in ‘No Problem’ instead of taking it all seriously.”
“Kangna plays Sanjana who believes that she is the most beautiful girl on earth. This is a kind of role that she has never done before. Her entire look too has gone through a complete makeover in the film. I am sure audience will really like this new ‘roop’ of hers,” added Bazmi.
As for us, we would love to see the mad side of Kangana once again with a difference, as proclaimed by the director.
Sanjay Dutt’s newborn twins have finally left the Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital and are home now. However, the babies could not make their journey back home in Daddy Dear’s newly purchased Rolls Royce. It so happened that Maanyata was to deliver the babies on November 23 and Dutt had planned the delivery of the car on November 28. However, the babies came into the world earlier and though Sanju did try to bring the car as early as possible but Rolls Royce couldn’t make it to babies.
Nevertheless, the home coming was a joyous affair for the family. The babies left the hospital in the arms of Manyata and Sister Priya Dutt. They reached home at 2 pm and are housed at two of the nurseries that Manyata made for them. Manyata and Sanju were greeted with an aarti by Sanju’s sister, Namrata Dutt on their homecoming.

It was a touching moment for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan this Saturday when she was awarded with the Teacher`s People Achiever Award on Saturday at Hotel Taj Lands End and since the day happened to be her father’s birthday, she dedicated the award to her father Krishnaraj Rai.

Mercury soared up like never before when Pamela Anderson entered the Big Boss house as a celebrity guest last night, attired in a white saree by Ashley Rebello. Meanwhile, lot has been happening on the show lately. Dolly Bindra and Sameer Soni have been evicted from the Bigg Boss house, for getting abusive, violent and breaking the rules. Also, under pressure from the civil society for taking action against broadcasters airing adult and abusive content, the information and broadcasting (I&B) ministry cracked took a decision on Wednesday that shows like Bigg Boss-4 (Colors) and Rakhi Ka Insaaf (Imagine) to air only after 11pm. Also, the notice from the I&B ministry states that such shows can not have any repeat telecast between 5am and 11pm. Moreover, the clippings of these reality shows can not be aired on news channels between 5am and 11pm.
This surely will cast a big blow on the TRP ratings of the show.
